It is with profound sadness that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of two cherished members of our Odyssey Pilot Hours family Niles Tilenius and William Johnston following a tragic accident October 19th.
Niles and William were more than just skilled and passionate aviators; they were friends, colleagues, and an integral part of the spirit that defines Odyssey. One built on professionalism, dedication, and a shared love for flight. Their loss is deeply felt by everyone in our community, and we extend our heartfelt condolences to their families, loved ones, and all who had the privilege of flying alongside them.
As we navigate this difficult time, our focus remains on supporting the families affected and our Odyssey community. We are cooperating fully with authorities as they conduct their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident, and we are committed to learning and healing together in the days ahead.
Out of respect for those we have lost and all who are grieving, Odyssey has paused all regular social media and promotional communications for the time being. During this time, we encourage everyone to hold Niles and William, and their loved ones, close in thought and in heart.
They will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Their legacy will live on through every student, every flight, and every safe decision made in the skies above us.
With deepest sympathy,
The Odyssey Pilot Hours Team
